Stream Energy is making a big difference in the lives of the people in the Dallas, Texas area. Their company model is set up to focus on philanthropy and keep it as the center of their business. Every day in the office is a day to give back. Homelessness is one of the main causes for Stream’s generosity. Stream associates monitor homelessness rates on a regular basis. In fact, the homeless rate has increased by over 20 percent. In a way, that is bad for the state of Texas as they are not looked at as a generous state. That’s where Stream Energy comes in and makes a difference. They are changing the generosity rating of Texas as we used to know it one act of generosity at a time. If anyone can recall Hurricane Harvey and all of the turmoil it caused for residents in Dallas Texas, they will remember that many people lost their lives, their pets, and even their homes. The storm tore through the city dropping 56 inches of rain. No one was prepared for the storm. Stream Energy was one of the first responders on the scene using money that they earned from energy sales to help with the reconstruction of the city. One commendable aspect of Streams efforts is that they were not only helping their community but their clients as well. Stream Cares, the philanthropic organization created to partner with other non-profits to help the homeless as well. Each time a natural disaster strikes, Stream Energy is there to help rescue those impacted by the ordeal. In some cases, they utilize their partnerships like back in 2016. In 2016, on the day after Christmas, a number of tornadoes hit the North Texas area. This is another instance that the community was not prepared for. The tornadoes ruined businesses and homes throughout the region. For many, Christmas turned out to be nothing more than a nightmare. Stream Energy partnered with the Salvation Army to raise money. Gratefully with the help of the community thousands of dollars were raised. The money was a great help as it aided in reconstruction for those who were not covered by homeowners insurance.

The world is much more complicated than it seems, and it’s good to know that we have companies and groups today that try to make things less complicated and more solutions-oriented. One of the few companies today that have the superior dedication to solving urgent problems in the world is Stream Cares.
The Patch Feature
In a feature from Patch.com, we read that the Dallas-based Stream Energy has so far created one of the most active, engaging and influential philanthropy work today that helps people affected by the Hurricane Harvey to get the recovery that they need. The Stream Cares Foundation is also able to make sure that the help they give is not just for those who need food and supplies. They’re also zeroing in on those who are now rendered homeless because of such tragedy.
Partnership With Hope Supply Co.
Through our partnership with @hopesupplyco.dfw Stream donated more than 300 toys and gifts to homeless children in the DFW metroplex. A big’ thank you’ to our Stream employees who volunteered their time at Hope Supply Co. by sorting and wrapping toys and gifts. Tis the season to spread hope and cheer!
This project would not have been possible without also the support of the Hope Supply Co. With such assistance, it’s easy to find the right solutions for Dallas to cope with the kind of homelessness that the hurricane has brought upon the state. With Stream Energy’s help, the people in Houston who have been affected by the 56-inch-deep of rain all over Houston neighborhoods would get the kind of assistance that they need to recover. There’s a lot needed to be done to make sure that the people helplessly washed out by the storm can get the sustenance that they need, and it’s good to know that Stream Energy is there to offer the most that they can do to alleviate the people’s concerns.
Philanthropy is a tricky job to implement since it’s not that easy to help without being judged of doing so for virtue merchandising. However, what makes Stream Energy different is the fact is that it does this without the need for announcing it and without the requirement for those that they help to know that it was them who helped their concerns. Stream Energy’s philanthropy work for Stream Cares is indeed one of the few things in life that make you inspired to help, and it’s a good thing that we have more social groups like this today.
