The work he’s performed on medications, clinical trials, inventions, and publications has made his presence known all throughout the community.
A recently article on the website Medical Daily Times discusses how Scott Rocklage is paving the way for a cure to DM1. That is a genetic disorder more commonly known as Myotonic dystrophy type I. This conditions comes from RNA cells reaching toxic levels when too much protein is converted from DNA. This results in several important body organs becoming defective. As a genetic disorder, many people can be affected within a family. Having this disease can make for challenging times for a family.
In order to combat this disease, several companies have stepped up and donated a lot of money into research. Scott Rocklage recently released a press release about the lab work Matthew Disney has been performing. He states the research they have been working on for the past 12 years has produced results. Molecule medications is best the method to treat the disease. Everyone at the lab is looking forward to seeing how the tests advance. They wish to be able to fully treat any RNA disease someday.
The medical field is always full new advancements in technology. As we come to understand more, our treatment methods also progress. RNA diseases are a rare, but awful ailment in the body. The research has come a long way and has just recently began producing treatment methods. Scott Rocklage is one of those at the center of this research. His team has helped to fund the project and bought their experience along with it. At some point in the future, perhaps we will be freed of such awful diseases.
