River Fest Elora announced its highly anticipated 2018 lineup this week with much fanfare. The 10th annual Ontario festival will feature headliners Flaming Lips, Carly Rae Jepsen, Blue Rodeo, and July Talk. Other popular indie acts include Wolf Parade, Bedouin Soundclash, Dear Rogue, and Born Ruffians. This year’s event will be held August 17-19 at Bissell Park in Elora. Just 90 minutes from downtown Toronto, the scenic Bissell Park is located on the banks of the Grand River. The area is known for its picture perfect weather in August, but festival attendees should come prepared for rain or shine.
Three-day weekend ticket passes are on sale now and start at CA$130.00. One-day tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 24 at 10am. At this time, there will also be options to purchase the after-party tickets at local bars as well as overflow camping passes. Cash tickets will be available beginning Monday, March 26 at a variety of physical locations in Toronto, Elora, Guelph, and surrounding areas. Kids 12 and under will receive free admission if accompanied by a paying adult.
River Fest Elora is heralded for being the ultimate celebration of music, arts, and community, and this year will be no exception. In addition to the eclectic musical performances, the festival offers Artisan Alley, designed to showcase a diverse range of local artists and their work. There will also be a myriad of food truck and beverage offerings sure to satiate any appetite.
Attendees who plan on camping during the festival should not delay in securing campsite reservations. The most popular place to stay is the picturesque Elora Gorge conservation area. The festival will also offer overflow camping near the event for tent campers only. Shuttle services will be provided from the campsite to the festival.
