Stream Energy is a company that is making a big difference in the lives of homeless children and their families. From dire circumstances to natural disasters, Stream is there to provide support, generosity, and supplies to ensure that the people in the community are living safely. Everyone is entitled to a fair quality of life. Sadly, many are not receiving what they deserve. That is why Stream Energy created Stream Cares. Stream Cares is their philanthropic arm, so to say, that gives the community a helping hand. The organization partners with a number of non-profit organizations to extend their generosity from the Dallas Texas area to the entire world. Homelessness is a massive cause for Stream, as their associates care significantly for those that are living on the streets. Stream Energy monitors daily the homelessness rates in Dallas, Texas. They recently discovered that there has been a recent increase in the rate of homelessness by 24 percent. They took this information and turned it into fuel to give back more to the community through the Hope Supply Co. Stream, and Hope have been partners in generosity for more than five years. The Hope Supply Co. ensures that homeless families have all of the supplies they need. Some of the supplies they give to the community are diapers, school items, and clothing. Stream Energy partnered with them to give homeless children a happy experience at the local waterpark. They paid the entrance fees and meal costs for more than 1,000 children. Stream associates volunteered at the event which gave them hands-on experience and understanding of how they are changing lives for the better. Another excellent example of an effective Stream partnership is their relationship with the Salvation Army. Together, Stream Energy and the Salvation Army were able to raise thousands of dollars in the wake of the Tornado touchdown in North Texas on the day after Christmas. It was a devastating time. One day families are celebrating Christmas, enjoying food, opening gifts, and spending time with family members they don’t get to see often. The next day all of that is torn apart by natural disaster. It is a great thing that organizations like Stream Energy and the Salvation Army are there to make a difference through generosity.
Stream Energy is making a big difference in the lives of the people in the Dallas, Texas area. Their company model is set up to focus on philanthropy and keep it as the center of their business. Every day in the office is a day to give back. Homelessness is one of the main causes for Stream’s generosity. Stream associates monitor homelessness rates on a regular basis. In fact, the homeless rate has increased by over 20 percent. In a way, that is bad for the state of Texas as they are not looked at as a generous state. That’s where Stream Energy comes in and makes a difference. They are changing the generosity rating of Texas as we used to know it one act of generosity at a time. If anyone can recall Hurricane Harvey and all of the turmoil it caused for residents in Dallas Texas, they will remember that many people lost their lives, their pets, and even their homes. The storm tore through the city dropping 56 inches of rain. No one was prepared for the storm. Stream Energy was one of the first responders on the scene using money that they earned from energy sales to help with the reconstruction of the city. One commendable aspect of Streams efforts is that they were not only helping their community but their clients as well. Stream Cares, the philanthropic organization created to partner with other non-profits to help the homeless as well. Each time a natural disaster strikes, Stream Energy is there to help rescue those impacted by the ordeal. In some cases, they utilize their partnerships like back in 2016. In 2016, on the day after Christmas, a number of tornadoes hit the North Texas area. This is another instance that the community was not prepared for. The tornadoes ruined businesses and homes throughout the region. For many, Christmas turned out to be nothing more than a nightmare. Stream Energy partnered with the Salvation Army to raise money. Gratefully with the help of the community thousands of dollars were raised. The money was a great help as it aided in reconstruction for those who were not covered by homeowners insurance.

The world is much more complicated than it seems, and it’s good to know that we have companies and groups today that try to make things less complicated and more solutions-oriented. One of the few companies today that have the superior dedication to solving urgent problems in the world is Stream Cares.
The Patch Feature
In a feature from Patch.com, we read that the Dallas-based Stream Energy has so far created one of the most active, engaging and influential philanthropy work today that helps people affected by the Hurricane Harvey to get the recovery that they need. The Stream Cares Foundation is also able to make sure that the help they give is not just for those who need food and supplies. They’re also zeroing in on those who are now rendered homeless because of such tragedy.
Partnership With Hope Supply Co.
Through our partnership with @hopesupplyco.dfw Stream donated more than 300 toys and gifts to homeless children in the DFW metroplex. A big’ thank you’ to our Stream employees who volunteered their time at Hope Supply Co. by sorting and wrapping toys and gifts. Tis the season to spread hope and cheer!
This project would not have been possible without also the support of the Hope Supply Co. With such assistance, it’s easy to find the right solutions for Dallas to cope with the kind of homelessness that the hurricane has brought upon the state. With Stream Energy’s help, the people in Houston who have been affected by the 56-inch-deep of rain all over Houston neighborhoods would get the kind of assistance that they need to recover. There’s a lot needed to be done to make sure that the people helplessly washed out by the storm can get the sustenance that they need, and it’s good to know that Stream Energy is there to offer the most that they can do to alleviate the people’s concerns.
Philanthropy is a tricky job to implement since it’s not that easy to help without being judged of doing so for virtue merchandising. However, what makes Stream Energy different is the fact is that it does this without the need for announcing it and without the requirement for those that they help to know that it was them who helped their concerns. Stream Energy’s philanthropy work for Stream Cares is indeed one of the few things in life that make you inspired to help, and it’s a good thing that we have more social groups like this today.
